Nancy has begun the process of writing a book about people skills in the business world.
Nancy says, “I've wanted to write this book for more than three years. My experience is that many times people have the technical skills and academic knowledge to do their job; but they lack the people skills. This has become such as e-world, with people communicating via e-mail, voice mail, and text messaging that many times employees don't know how to communicate effectively with others, much less work together on a team, make decisions with others, or resolve conflict. Yet, surveys have shown that most employers prefer to hire employees with a good attitude and people skills and then train them on the technical skills.
This book will be about those all-important people skills and how to develop them to be a more effective person.”
Nancy will be conducting interviews with several people for whom she has a high regard and who exemplify exceptional people skills in the workplace. Information will be available on this web site soon regarding topics for the book and tentative outline.
